Soap

Hi All,

Hope you all are interested in Michael and I's (Diana's) journey into soapmaking. Here is a melt and pour soap I made. The picture is not the best. The soap is pink and has rose petals in it. Unfortunately, it did not smell good and the rose petals were kind of gross. I used one bar, gave one to my mom to try and ended up throwing out the third!

This next soap Michael made. The black spots are flax seeds. The red spots are a colorant we tried rather unsuccessfully to use. This soap had a mix of White Tea, Milk Honey & Oats, Energy and Relaxing fragrance oils if I remember correctly. It smells good, but is maybe a little bit *too* exfoliating.

This next soap I made and is probably my favorite so far. The fragrance is called Summer Fling and it's a nice mix of berries, floral and cream. I used a pink pigment and created my first swirled soap.

The last soap I made is an Ocean-frangranced soap. I added seaweed and sea salt to it and tried to make a blue swirl, but as you can see, it turned out looking a little different. It was super stinky for a week or so, but the scent has mellowed. I still think it smells like detergent, but some have said it's a nice scent. We're looking forward to trying it. I think it's a cool looking soap.

That's it for now. I've made some body butters and sugar scrubs, but the pictures probably wouldn't be too exciting. The soaps are much easier than the body butters, which I would not have expected.
