Catching Up

Sid likes spaghetti. (10.5.07)

Here is Sid resting up. We were getting ready to decorate for Halloween. (10.6.07)

Having breakfast with Dad.

I have no pictures of our house after we decorated. We actually discovered we don't have many Halloween decorations. However, what we did have was stored in one of those under-the-bed storage containers and Sid really liked to push it back and forth in the kitchen.

Michael then came up with the idea of Sid riding on the container. Sid liked this even better than pushing it. Those of you that have or have had children probably recognize this for the bad idea that it was. Sid LOVED this and it led to some crying when nobody wanted to push him around anymore.

Here is Sid modeling the new outfit his Grandma Barbara sent him. We love this outfit. Adorable! (10.11.07)

One day we went to the pumpkin patch. We all had a great time. Here is Sid, Michael, Kylie and McKenna riding on the cows. They were being pulled by a tractor. (10.13.07)

We also went on a horse drawn ride around the pumpkin patch. Here is a pic of Chris Goonan and my friend's son, Dylan, petting the horses.

I thought the horses were really beautiful.

Grandma Stokes and some of her grandkids posing in front of the corn maze.

Michael and Sid in the corn maze.

Sid and I on the horse wagon ride. I didn't realize he was having SO much fun until I saw the pictures.

Here's Sid surveying the pumpkin patch. I did not take him into the patch for his pumpkin until pretty much everyone else had brought their chosen pumpkins back to the wagon we brought out there to haul all the pumpkins back.

We took a couple of photos in the patch.

I then walked Sid out into the patch, fully intending on picking him out a small pumpkin. Sid, however, had other plans. After walking by a handful of pumpkins, he spotted his pumpkin. He ran over to it, put his hands on top of it and start yelling, "nah, nah, nah" excitedly. You can see the excitement on his face in this photo of him and his pumpkin. I think he's still yelling.

Here he is probably making sure Grandma sees his pumpkin.

Trying to lift his pumpkin.

Me helping him pick it up. (No, I'm not pregnant!) That's my food baby.

Sid supervising Dad cleaning a pumpkin.

The finished pumpkins. Sid's is the spider.

Unfortunately a week or so after we carved these we had to throw them out. We moved them out onto the porch when they first began to mold. Then they started leaking fluid and caving in and had to be shoveled into the yard debris bin. We didn't realize you should wait until the weekend before Halloween! Maybe next year we'll have better luck.

Sid is kind of a TV junkie. He loves to watch about a half hour or so of one of his movies when we get home during the week. Here he is chilling and eating popcorn. (10.17.07) Yes, he has his slippers on.

Grandma Audrey bought Sid an electric drum. Here he is checking it out. (10.20.07)

He got really excited.

Here's some video of the good times.

Yesterday, Sid's friend, Ava came to visit. Ava is the daughter of my friends, Kim and Marc. I've known Kim since I was four. It was a real joy to see my son playing with her daughter. I didn't get many pictures, because my camera needed charging. We did get some really cute video of these two dancing to the drum Sid got for Christmas last year, however it's on our camcorder, not our camera. (10.27.07) Sid admiring Ava's shoes.

Ava checking out Hambone and Akira.

Today we went for a hike near the river and then out to lunch. Sid took a short nap when we got home and then woke up grumpy or not feeling well. We snuggled on the couch watching Toy Story until he felt like playing again. (10.28.07)

We are now officially caught up! Let's see if we can keep it that way.

September Photos

So, in an effort to get caught up, here are some of my favorite photos from September. Hopefully, sometime this week, I'll get totally caught up, but we'll see...

These photos are from a trip to Timber Linn Park in Albany. We wanted to show Sid the ducks, which he wasn't that interested in. This one just cracks me up for some reason. Not sure if it's his belly or his sunglasses.

Pretty much all photos of him walking are freaking adorable, so here is one I love.

This one was taken on the play structure. He looks so cute and happy.

Here's him making sure I'm following.

Us going down the slide.

Going over the bridge with Dada.

This one reminds me of Reservoir Dogs. He looks all bad-ass.

Here's another pic of him and his dad. I don't know why, but I just love photos of these two together.

This next set were taken in the back yard. He is such a ham.

I helped Sid with this tower, but his dexterity is improving. He used to knock the blocks over when he tried to stack them, but he's much gentler now and is able to stack them pretty high without knocking them over.

One of Sid's favorite things to do is walk on us. Here is walking on Dad..

In these photos we are at a local park. Sid loves going down slides and even went down this one by himself with some encouragement.

Getting ready to come down the slide.

This one is a little blurry, but he looks like such a big boy.

Pushing his Wal-Mart shopping cart.

Stuart Jay liks Sid's couch.

I just love Sid's face in this photo. He looks like such a little stinker.
