Ice Fishing (2.16.09)

My last full day in Colorado was so much fun. Don't I look fabulous in giraffe print slippers?

Goofing around with Dad.

Mom and Dad discovered they could have saved money on my plane ticket when it was too late.

We headed to the nearby lake to do some ice fishing. Grandpa digging the first hole.

I decided to give the men a hand.

Cool.

Grandpa scooping out the ice.

I was anxious to get fishing.

Grandpa showing me the fishing pole stand.

I prefer to do the hard work of actually holding the pole.

Look how thick the ice was.

A rare moment of all of us actually looking at the camera.

Me scooping out the ice.

The catch of the day! Grandma said she'd use this on the chicken fish we were going to have for dinner that night.

Me and Grandma sharing a moment.

There's a lot of waiting involved in fishing.

All bundled up.

When we got back to Grandma's house, I scoped out a target,

aimed, and fired!

The target...(notice the snowball)

Lining up the ammo.

Grandpa's truck really took a beating.

Cooking with Grandma (2.15.09)

These are not the best pictures, but I have great memories of cooking eggs with Grandma.

Playing with Grandpa (2.13.09)

Here's me hanging out over the living room.

Drinking milk out of the cereal bowl.

Grandpa and I playing with Play Dough.

I love to cut.

You get a good workout with this stuff.

Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park (2.12.09)

Daddy and I trying on the Mardi Gras masks Grandma and Grandpa received as part of a Fat Tuesday party invitation.

Grandma took us to the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park to see some animals. We stopped for a posed picture before heading in.

We saw the wolves get fed first.

The bobcat...

The view..

The elk. He had the best looking meal.

Me and my Grandma.

Trying to pick up the elk's rack from last year.

Grandma gave me a haircut a day or so after this pic was taken.

One of the mountain lions. The lady feeding the animals warned us all not to run near the mountain lions. Did anyone listen? NO

Throwing snowballs.

Looking good.

The cat eating...luckily not a small child.

So pretty.

A bison skull.
